Frequently Asked Questions
How much does mobile detailing cost?
Pricing depends on your vehicle’s size, condition, and the package you choose — our packages range from a quick maintenance wash to a full interior/exterior deep clean with ceramic coating. Book online to see live pricing for your vehicle, or reach out and we’ll recommend the right package.
How often should I get my car detailed?
For most daily drivers, a full detail every 3–4 months keeps interiors fresh and paint protected. If you have kids, pets, or a long commute, every 6–8 weeks is a better fit. Ceramic coating extends the time between exterior details significantly.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Elk Grove and serve the greater Sacramento region within about a 40-minute drive — including Sacramento, Rancho Cordova, Folsom, Roseville, El Dorado Hills, Citrus Heights, Carmichael, and surrounding areas. Not sure if you’re in range? Just ask.
Do I need to provide water or power?
No — our mobile setup is fully self-contained. We bring our own water and power, so all you need to provide is a parking spot.
How long does a mobile detail take?
A standard detail typically takes 1.5–3 hours depending on the package and your vehicle’s condition. Larger vehicles, pet hair removal, and ceramic coating add time.
What’s the difference between a wash and a full detail?
A wash covers the exterior surface — soap, rinse, dry. A full detail goes much deeper: interior deep cleaning, carpet and upholstery treatment, door jambs, wheels and tires, clay bar treatment, and paint correction where needed.
Is ceramic coating worth it?
If you want your paint to stay protected and glossy for a year or more with much easier maintenance washes, yes. Ceramic coating is a one-time investment that pays off in less frequent detailing and better long-term paint protection.
Can you remove pet hair and odors?
Yes — pet hair removal and odor treatment are part of our interior deep clean packages. Let us know when booking so we can allocate the right amount of time.
How do I book an appointment?
Click “Book Service” anywhere on the site to see live availability and pick a time that works for you. You’ll get a confirmation and reminder before your appointment.
Do you offer recurring plans?
Yes — many of our customers set up a recurring maintenance schedule (monthly or every 6 weeks) so their vehicle always looks its best without having to remember to book each time.
How do I remove water spots from my car?
Water spots are tough to remove with buffing alone, and most products you find online are not made for automotive paint. Removing them properly usually requires acid based products, which can be hazardous to use and easily damage your clear coat if used incorrectly. We recommend having a professional handle water spot removal so your paint stays protected.
How do I remove bird droppings or egg from my car?
Bird droppings and egg are acidic and can eat into your clear coat quickly, so removing them fast matters. As a quick fix, gently loosen the residue with a warm damp cloth and mild soap rather than scrubbing. If it has already dried on or sat for a while, we recommend having a professional take a look to avoid permanent etching or paint damage.
How do I remove stains from my car’s interior?
Blot fresh stains right away with a clean cloth instead of rubbing, since rubbing can push the stain deeper into the fabric or leather. Different materials need different cleaners, and the wrong product can set a stain permanently or discolor the surface. For older or stubborn stains, it is best to have a professional assess the material before treating it.
How do I remove scratches from my car?
Light surface scratches can sometimes be improved with a dedicated scratch remover and a lot of patience, but going too far can burn through the clear coat. Deeper scratches need proper paint correction to fix without causing more damage. We recommend having a professional inspect the scratch first to see what your paint can safely handle.
How do I remove odors from my car?
Air fresheners only mask odors instead of removing them. To fully eliminate smoke, pet, or mildew smells, the odor needs to be broken down at the source using ozone treatment. We offer O3 ozone treatments that neutralize odors completely rather than covering them up, and we recommend a professional service for the best results.
How do I remove pet hair from my car?
A rubber squeegee or rubber glove works well to gather loose pet hair from seats and carpet before vacuuming. It can be time consuming and frustrating, especially with hair that is worked deep into fabric. We offer interior detailing that removes embedded pet hair thoroughly so you do not have to keep fighting it yourself.
How do I remove tree sap from my car?
Sap is tricky. If it is left on the paint too long it can bond to the clear coat and cause permanent damage. We use a German made product called Koch-Chemie Eulex to safely dissolve sap without harming the paint underneath. It is a strong product that needs to be handled carefully, so we recommend seeking a professional to remove sap rather than risking damage to the surrounding paint.
How do I remove tar from my car?
Tar can be just as stubborn as sap and just as easy to damage your paint while trying to remove it. We use the same German made product, Koch-Chemie Eulex, to break down tar safely without harming the finish. As with sap, we recommend having a professional handle tar removal to avoid damaging nearby paint.
How do I remove sand from my car’s carpet?
Sand is one of the most frustrating things to get out of a car. You can vacuum the same spot over and over and barely lift a grain. We use tools like a massage gun to vibrate the carpet and loosen sand from deep in the fibers, then vacuum it up as it lifts. It works well, but it is time consuming, so the best approach is avoiding sand in the car in the first place. Once it works its way into the carpet, it can take hours to remove and you may never get all of it out.
How do I dry my car without leaving streaks?
Skip the old school leather chamois, since it tends to drag debris across the paint and can leave streaks behind. A high quality microfiber drying towel is a much better choice. We use microfiber towels from South Korea, which are some of the best drying towels available, and they let you dry an entire panel in one swipe instead of going back and forth. It is faster and gentler on your paint at the same time.
Should I pre-wash my car before hand washing it?
Yes, absolutely. A pre-wash rinse loosens dirt and grime and washes away loose debris before you ever touch the paint with a wash mitt. Skipping this step means you are dragging that same dirt across the paint with your mitt, which causes fine scratches and swirl marks over time.
How do I remove rust from my car?
Light surface rust can sometimes be treated with a rust remover product and gentle polishing, but it is easy to damage the paint or trim if the wrong product or too much pressure is used. Rust that has spread under the paint often needs more extensive repair. We recommend having a professional evaluate the affected area before treating rust so it does not get worse.
How do I clean brake dust off my wheels?
Brake dust is broken down with wheel cleaning chemicals that typically use some level of acid, and stronger acid works faster but is riskier. Not every wheel finish can handle acid. Chrome, aluminum, polished aluminum, and unprotected metal wheels can discolor or get damaged if the wrong cleaner is used. Your wheels should be evaluated first so the right cleaner is matched to the material, and we recommend a professional for brake dust removal to avoid damaging the finish.
Can I ceramic coat my wheels and windows?
Yes to both. Ceramic coating on your wheels adds the same protection and easy cleaning benefits it gives your paint. Ceramic coating on your windows improves rain visibility and makes bugs and bird droppings much easier to lift off with a warm rag and soap, without scrubbing hard enough to cause permanent etching.
